Despite all the griping about those 100-calorie snack packs — they’re pricey, terrible for the environment, the food is tasteless, the portions are stingy, and, the final insult, they don’t even lead to weight loss — the segment is not only thriving, according to a recent report by the Grocery Manufacturers Association, but it has moved beyond cookies and crackers and into deli meats and cheese.
