Vendor Performance Reviews (Monday, 10/25 9:30am-10:30am)
Are your vendors “good” vendors or “not-so-good” vendors? During this session, you will find out how to develop and utilize a comprehensive methodology for measuring vendor performance as it supports your business. This workshop includes techniques for evaluating all aspects of how a vendor’s performance impacts your cost of doing business and your customer performance. You will leave this timely session with concrete ideas about what constitutes a “good” vendor/partner and a “not so good” vendor/partner and how to tackle this daunting task at your company. If your company already does vendor performance measurement, come and be sure and bring your good ideas to the discussion.

Using AWMA InfoMetrics Data to Improve Operations Wednesday, 10/27 8:00am-9:00am)
Data from AWMA’s new InfoMetrics program is providing participating distributors with a real time view of their own sales as compared to all participating distributors. And it’s offering the manufacturers purchasing the data a way of identifying market opportunities. At this session, Viv Penninti will provide an overview of what is going on in convenience sales based on the data and describe the benefits of the program to both distributors and manufacturers. Penninti, president of InfoRhythm—the data company AWMA has partnered with on the InfoMetrics program—is a former president of Management Science Associates.
