AWMA’s President and CEO, Scott Ramminger, will testify before the FDA’s Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee (TPSAC) on issues relating to that committee’s study of the nature and impact of dissolvable tobacco products.  Ramminger’s remarks will focus on the importance of continuing the current access and availability of these products solely for adults who wish to use them. Ramminger will point out that these products pose no more risk than those smokeless tobacco products currently on the market and that they should continue to be available for those adults who choose to use this type of tobacco product.

The meeting with TPSAC is scheduled for November 2, 2011 and AWMA will provide additional details regarding this upcoming event as they become available.
