Chocolate has knocked out coffee as the top specialty food purchase reported by consumers, according to a new report from the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade.  The NASFT’s annual report on consumer purchasing habits and trends helps food producers and distributors plan their strategy for bringing items to market in the $70 billion industry.
