The Omaha-based packaged foods giant, through its foundation, has identified hunger-relief efforts as the primary target of its philanthropic efforts. And ConAgra makes no secret of its commitment or the amount of money it donates. It's called “cause marketing,” in which companies publicize their good deeds in order to cultivate good will and, in the long run, customers.
