Distributors – There is Help in Winning the Compensation & Benefits Battle
All AWMA Distributor member key contacts have received the 2010 Employee Compensation Survey, co-sponsored by AWMA, the first week of January. Hopefully it has been completed, or is at least sitting on the top of the pile, as the due date is March 1, 2010. Compensation and benefits is a key factor in hiring the best staff possible as well as retaining the great staff you have at present. The data from this survey is compiled in a comprehensive report broken down into two parts: Volume I focuses on the data collected for AWMA distributors as a group. This provides distributors a source to compare their firms to similar firms in the convenience distribution industry. Volume II aggregates the results of the entire sample, industry to industry, providing in-depth compensation and benefits information on a variety of industries in your geographic area and firms of varying sizes.
The more AWMA distributors participating in this survey, the more detailed the information. AWMA would, of course, love to see 100% participation! Please ensure that completion of the Compensation and Benefits Survey is a priority, and be assured that all information, processed by The Profit Planning Group in Colorado, is absolutely confidential. The final report will be well worth the time it takes to complete the survey….you can never have too much information as you seek to remain competitive.
