On July 26th the FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products held a retail and small manufacturers training webcast to help stakeholders comply with the recently issued rule requiring new cigarette graphic health warnings on cigarette packages and on cigarette advertisements.

AWMA participated in this webcast and queried the CTP about the sell-through provision relating to these new graphic warning labels.  The CTP confirmed that distributors will have unlimited sell-through of old product provided it was manufactured prior to the effective date of September 22, 2012 requiring the new labels.
