FDA Opens Up Inspection & Compliance Data Disclosure
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently announced that it is disclosing more information about inspections and court actions and creating a new web portal to include this searchable data. The FDA contends this action is part of their effort to make FDA enforcement and compliance-related activities more accessible, downloadable, and searchable online.
Information to be available on this online site includes a summary of the most common Inspectional Observations of objectionable conditions or practices made during inspections and a searchable Inspections Database that includes the names and addresses of inspected facilities, inspection dates, types of products involved and final inspectional classification.
FDA has stated that by the end of this year they will include additional information about FDA evaluations of filers along with other information. To receive more information regarding the FDA’s new policy and the new searchable database you may visit:
