Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Receives Funding Increase From Congress

Congress is poised to increase funding for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by 3 percent from last year’s level of funding.  If approved, the agency would receive $3.8 billion with the largest amount - $39 million – of the agency’s budget being earmarked for the new food safety program.
