To mark Earth Day and National Volunteer Week, General Mills has organized "Think Global, Volunteer Local," a week of coordinated volunteer projects involving employees throughout the world.  During April 19-23, up to 2,000 employees are participating in environmentally focused volunteer efforts ranging from cleaning local beaches and city streets to planting trees in parks and repairing inner-city homes.
