Reps. Henry Waxman (D-CA), John Dingell (D-MI), Frank Pallone (D-NJ), and Diana DeGette (D-CO) submitted a letter to FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg urging the agency to ban flavored cigars and cigarillos.  The legislators wrote to Commissioner Hamburg of their concern that these products appeal to minors and that tobacco manufacturers are “sidestepping tobacco products standards” by including flavors in cigars and cigarillos.  The four legislators are members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee which has jurisdiction over tobacco issues.
