Dr. B.E. Atkinson, Jr., of Judson-Atkinson Candies, Inc., received the Doc Reed Silver Candy Dish Award, presented to him by his son, AWMA Board Member Eric Atkinson, who was recognized with the honor in 2008.  After attending Southwestern Medical School and working as a general practitioner in private practice for many years, Atkinson purchased the San Antonio-based Judson Candy Co in 1983.
