Jane Berzan Joins AWMA as VP of Strategic Initiatives & Supplier Relations
Jane Berzan, former senior vice president of Events, Marketing & Supplier Relations at the National Association of Convenience Stores, has joined AWMA as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Supplier Relations. Berzan will work part time for AWMA while continuing to operate her consulting firm, JMB Business Solutions, which is focused on the food, beverage and technology industries for corporate and association clients.
At NACS, Berzan was instrumental in growing the NACS Show, establishing NACS Magazine, forming strategic alliances, and developing programs to strengthen relationships with industry suppliers and manufacturers. She also played a lead role with NACS global initiatives with the launch of global forums in Europe and Asia. She was with NACS for 12 years and prior to that worked in senior level positions with several other trade associations in the Washington, DC area.
At AWMA, Berzan will continue to work on the relaunch of the AWMA Show, and will assist the association with a wide range of other projects. "We are extremely happy to bring Jane on board at AWMA," said President Scott Ramminger. "We are in the midst of a number of initiatives designed to make AWMA even more responsive to member needs, and to make the association's programs even more relevant in these challenging times. Jane brings a tremendous amount of energy and experience to the table -- along with a keen understanding of the issues facing the convenience channel today."
She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, an active member of the American Society of Association Executives and the International Association of Events & Exhibitions, earned the designation of Certified Association Executive (CAE) and was recognized as a leading association executive in a “Who’s Who” among association leaders in 2007.
