Kathy Trost, AWMA’s manager of education, retired this week after eight years with AWMA.  The staff, the board, education committee, and members will miss Kathy.  She was a great asset to AWMA and worked hard in steering AWMA’s educational programming to what it is today.  From the education at our events to research projects, the STEPS program, Wharton program, and college scholarships – Kathy oversaw it all.  Kathy had a great send off at this years Summit & ABX.  We will miss her, but wish her well in retirement.

Kathy’s replacement is Meredith Kimbrell, who started in her new position, as Director of Education & Research, in early September.  Meredith attended this year’s Summit & ABX, where many members had a chance to meet her.  Meredith brings the best of both worlds to AWMA – she worked at a DC-based association prior to coming to AWMA – therefore understands the culture at an association.  She also comes from a distribution background as her family owns a distribution company in Mississippi.  We welcome Meredith to AWMA and look forward to our members getting to meet her in February in Las Vegas.
