Kellogg Profit Rises 14%

Kellogg Co second-quarter profit jumped 14% as sales continued to benefit from higher prices and more new products, helping to offset rising costs.  The cereal maker also raised its outlook for sales growth, but left its earnings guidance as is.  Like other consumer products companies, Kellogg has raised prices to offset higher commodity costs.
