On Wednesday, May 17, nearly 60 meetings between AWMA members and their congressional representatives or their staff took place on Capitol Hill.
In an effort to keep the meetings brief for legislators, since they have such busy schedules, AWMA members focused on two primary issues of importance – legislation to promote restrictions on remote sales of cigarettes, and legislation to establish a national standard for LIP (low ignition propensity) cigarettes.
