AWMA members from across the country came to Washington, DC to visit their legislators and staff on behalf of the distribution community.  AWMA set up over 50 appointments within the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate offices so members could remind their lawmakers of the important role our industry plays in the economic recovery.  A dinner hosted by Altria kicked off the annual lobbying event on May 16, followed by a breakfast hosted by R. J. Reynolds before members attended their meetings on Capitol Hill.
