HIPA Report & Other Research

Sponsored by The Hershey Company, the Hershey Industry Performance Analysis (HIPA) Report measures several key benchmarks among convenience wholesalers, including sales per employee, gross margin, return on investment, inventory turnover, salaries, and much more. Every spring, the HIPA survey is mailed to AWMA distributors–only those completing the survey will receive a final copy of this report.

Scholarships

In June 1983, The Ray Foley Memorial Youth Education Foundation was created in memory of the late National Candy Wholesalers Association executive vice president, Ray Foley. Each year, through the Distributors Education Foundation, AWMA awards two $5,000 Ray Foley Scholarships to deserving candidates who are involved in or who plan to join the convenience products wholesale distribution industry. These candidates must either work for an AWMA-wholesaler member company or be the spouse, sons or daughters of an employee of an AWMA-wholesaler member company.
