Rutter’s Farm Stores Renovates & Rolls Out New Locations

York, Pennsylvania-based Rutter’s Farm Stores joins a growing list of major regional c-store chains with recently announced expansion plans. In its York hometown, the company has closed a store which will be razed and replaced with a 5,200-square-foot store offering the very latest in foodservice, including a premium-coffee island, and upscale design, amenities and dining.  Sixteen fueling positions and an automatic car wash are also planned for the new store which is slated to reopen this summer.

Other c-stores currently experiencing growth spurts are Kum & Go, Delek US, QuikTrip, and Douglass Distributing.

Rutter’s ambitious growth plans include the investment of more than $55 million in 2008 to build 10 stores and 11 car washes which will add 350 new jobs to the local economies.  The renovation and expansion of existing stores throughout Pennsylvania are expected to be completed within the next few months.

Family-owned and third-generation managed, Rutter’s Farm Stores operates 51 convenience stores in Pennsylvania.
